2022 Board of Directors Election

We are thrilled that the AHEPPP membership will select the next member of the AHEPPP Board of Directors (BOD). AHEPPP: Family Engagement in Higher Education depends on the BOD to guide and support our priorities, services, and funding. This year is a very unique year as it is the first time the association has ever had an uncontested election. There are currently three positions available on the AHEPPP BOD and exactly three qualified applicants. However, in order to honor our process and governing documents, a vote of the membership must still take place. Candidates need a simple majority of voting members to be elected.

The process of selection will conclude on Friday October 7. Please cast your ballot today for this critical role in our organization.

We are looking for leaders who have:

  • Evidence of leadership in a wide range of professional experiences and a commitment to AHEPPP's mission, vision, and programs.
  • Demonstrated service to AHEPPP (e.g. served as a conference volunteer, on committees, published on the AHEPPP blog, presented webinars/educational sessions, etc.)
  • Demonstrated service to members of the organization or peers within the profession (e.g. participated in the mentor program, collaborated with individuals from other institutions to develop programs/initiatives, presented at national conferences, etc.)
  • Published articles, survey analyses, chapters and/or books addressing parent engagement at the post-secondary education level as it relates to or impacts student development and/or retention.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Elected board members should represent balance across institutional type/size and geographic regions. For more information on the nominating process please click here
